Who’s who? What’s what? What does it all mean??
As if anyone has any idea …
Watch the old fan peel back the onion layers and wander down deep, dark rabbit-holes to make sense of it all.
The Old Fan loves engaging his audience and will discuss almost anything with anyone in chat — from Forbidden Planet to the importance of Triumph Doreen bras in modern cosplay!

Last night I posted a joke review. This is the real one.
Yes, we’re going there.
Just like The Old Fan’s Commentary On The Star Wars Holiday Special, we’re descending into the bizarre world of Plan 9 From Outer Space.
Plan 9 From Outer Space is a hack-fraud movie from beginning to end. The film would is a classic B-movie, and probably one that most of the audience would have left.
It’s really, really bad — but fortunately, it’s so bad it’s good. The film has become a cult classic.
We’ll set the TARDIS controls for 1959, on premiere night of the film. You’ve seen everything else: the cartoons, the serials, the A-movie, etc. It’s coming up on 10pm, and the lights dim in a theater converted from a live theater. It could seat a thousand and includes a balcony or two. The curtains open on the screen, and then you see Plan 9 From Outer Space.

A YouTube version was discovered after recording. I’d be amazed if it wasn’t DMCA-ed at some point:

What with Red Letter Media mentioning the “novel” on which The Last Vampire On Earth was “based,” I decided to do a sound check with an eye toward dramatic readings on my podcast.
